Sandra Landergott Sandra's work has shown in Quinlan Visual Arts Center juried art exhibits, Art in the Square and in other local venues. She is a member of The Georgia Art League and the National Association of Women Artists. An exhibitor in juried local and national shows and festivals, her work has shown in the Florida Collectors Gallery, Ft. Lauderdale, the Norton Art Gallery in West Palm Beach, the Ann Norton Sculpture Garden, the Cornell Museum and the Hibel Museum. Her art has been displayed in several galleries through the south. Sandra has had articles written about her art in the Palm Beach Post-Times, and the Sun-Sentinel newspapers. Sandra is known throughout the southeast for her work as an Alla Prima Plein Air artist. She studied Plein Air painting with Dennis Aufiery of the Armory Art Center, West Palm Beach, Florida. She is also known for her theories, techniques, and use of color. She studied color with Steven Perkins, from the Cape Cod School of Art in Massachusetts and has subsequently taught color theory. She attended workshops with Edgar Whitney on the principles of art and design. She has also attended workshops given by contemporary artists Janet Fish, and Betty Billups, a founding member of Plein Air Painters of America, John Poon, Ann Templeton, Stuart Shils, Dee Beard Dean, Bill Davidson and Albert Handell. She is currently working in oils, although she has enjoyed watercolor, pastel and encaustic painting techniques. Sandi says: "For me, the enjoyment of creating art is the journey, not the destination. To create is an expression of yourself and how you perceive life."
