Linda Blount Linda has a degree in Elementary Education. She has taught young children for 10 years, and most recently taught English as a Second Language for Lanier Technical College. She has enjoyed working in different media, especially watercolors. She has studied and taught in Florida, Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia. Linda enjoys working with children and adults to discover the magic of paint through the creative process. Linda says: "Watercolor has been my favorite medium for many years. Its fluid movement on the paper is exciting and suprising. When people see my paintings, I want them to feel a connection between themselves and the subject - whether it is a landscape, seascape, still life, floral, or a scene of people strolling the city streets. The subject, color and composition unite to create the mood and message. It is my hope that the eyes of the viewer are drawn to the work by that visual communication." Linda is a member of the Artisans of Flowery Branch, the Quinlan Visual Arts Center, and The Georgia Art League. For more info, go to: www.lindablount.com. RETURN TO MAIN CLASS LISTINGS. |
