Anita Elder Anita Elder considers herself a contemporary realist, taking colors and forms and layering them on canvas to capture the enduring and breathtaking beauty of nature. Her subject matter ranges from lakes, mountain ranges, and meadows to a single flower, which she often paints en plein air so she can truly capture the essence of a scene. Anita’s medium of choice is oil on canvas. She has been painting professionally for 25 years and is known not only as an accomplished artist, but as a gifted teacher of fine arts to numerous students in the community. Anita is among the founding artists of Gallerie 110 in Gainesville, Georgia.
