Barbara Brown Barbara says that painting is like solving a visual problem, challenging, motivating, and extremely enjoyable. As each brushstroke and color combination is placed on the canvas, the artist adds a bit of reality, imagination, whimsy, and in the process sometimes a pleasant surprise occurs that makes a painting unique. She allows the subject that she is working on to dictate the technique used. Each piece of art may have a different look and feel. This approach to painting is exemplified in Barbara’s landscape and still life paintings. She enjoys painting both close up views of objects that fill the canvas with color and detail or more distant, muted impressions. Barbara’s works explore color and evoke emotions. |
